What does this site keep in my browser?

It's needed for the studio to work as you'd expect, so it's set without asking, and it's never sent to us on its own.
Does opening a print larger keep anything?
Nothing we set.
Look Closer fetches the larger picture from this site and holds it in the page's memory until you leave the page. Your browser may keep a copy in its cache, as it does with any picture on the web, and clearing your browsing data removes it. The viewer sets no cookie, writes nothing to storage and sends no request anywhere else.
Does anyone else set cookies here?
Not through this site.
Nominatim, the Overpass servers and the terrain tiles answer your browser's requests; this site loads no script from them. Stripe's checkout page is Stripe's own and may set its own cookies to prevent fraud, under Stripe's privacy policy.
